Principles of Auditing and Assurance

Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to the practices and professional standards of auditing. Students will learn techniques for planning and performing audits to include gathering and analyzing financial statement data. This course also covers the steps taken by auditors to calculate materiality, assess audit risk, and evaluate internal controls.
