Introduces the role of the nurse in providing safe, person-centered care. Emphasizes care of adults and older adults with stable health conditions, considering family, sociocultural, and spiritual factors. Focuses on developing basic assessment, therapeutic communication, and evidence-based interventions while practicing documentation and care planning skills to build clinical reasoning. May be offered in a distance-learning format. Limitation on enrollment: Acceptance to the Cabrillo nursing program
