Catalog description

Students with no ability in English should begin here. Emphasizes listening, speaking, reading and writing skills at a literacy level and focuses on survival English skills, English sound/symbol correspondence, and reading and writing of simple English sentences. May cover topics such as the alphabet, numbers, colors, calendar information, time, weather, employment, health, community resources, and communication. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
