Catalog description
Prepares students in navigating the sequence of events for residential construction. Covers the phases of construction planning and preparation including permitting processes, analysis of contract documents, and an introduction to estimating, scheduling, and project management. Outlines phases of physical construction including safety, tools, equipment, material selection and use, foundations, framing, roofing, insulation, drywall, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, interior and exterior carpentry, and finishes. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
