Catalog description

Introduces the study of the filmmaking process with transferable skills to commercial photography and video sets, focusing on project planning and production through practical projects and critical analysis. Includes organizational strategies for each phase of filmmaking and commercial media planning, including pre-production, production, and post-production, highlighting the importance of planning, on-set roles, team dynamics, collaborative efforts, and industry business practices. Students will acquire hands-on experience in documentary and narrative filmmaking, developing key skills necessary for effectively creating, managing, and distributing media projects. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
