Catalog description
Introduces the creative application of film and digital photography for communication and personal expression through camera operation, digital workflow, film processing, and darkroom printmaking. Emphasizes photographic visual language and aesthetics including light, composition, and content. Significant photographers from diverse cultures and backgrounds will be studied, highlighting the impact of photography on society and media. Genres covered include fine art, photojournalism, social documentary, emerging genres, and scientific applications. May be offered in a distance-learning format.
