Catalog description
This algebra- based introductory physics course is a continuation of General Physics I/Lab (PHY-201). It covers the following topics: waves and sound, fluids, heat, electricity, magnetism, electromagnetic radiation, optics and modern physics. As in General Physics I this course will continue to relate principles of physics to living systems. Laboratory work will further develop the student's skills in data collecting and analysis. This course satisfies the physics requirement of the AS Biological Science program. This course does not satisfy the physics requirement of the AA Chemistry or Physics/Engineering concentrations or the physics requirement of the AS Engineering program. Class meets: 3 hrs. lecture; 3 hrs. lab.
