Catalog description

This course serves as an introduction to the diverse musical traditions of the world. Students will explore the music of a variety of cultures and regions, and come to understand how it is shaped by social customs, geography, history, and cross-cultural interaction. No prior musical experience is required. This course meets the General Education requirement for Creative Work.
