Latin Music Ensemble

Catalog description

This course focuses on rehearsing and performing a wide variety of music from Latin America. Students develop their skills in rhythm, improvisation, and performance techniques foundational to various styles of Latin music. This course is designed for students with previous experience in music, and an audition is required. To audition, enroll in the course and contact the instructor or Performing Arts Department chairperson. This course may be repeated for credit to meet humanities elective requirements or the music concentration ensemble requirement. Prerequisite: Instructor permission upon completion of audition.
