Catalog description
This course focuses on the rehearsal and performances of jazz and related styles of music. Students develop their music reading, improvisation, and performance skills associated with the jazz ensemble. This course is designed for students with previous experience in music, and an audition is required. To audition, enroll in the course and contact the instructor or Performing Arts Department chairperson. This course may be repeated for credit to meet humanities elective requirements or the Music Concentration ensemble requirement. MEETING DETAILS:3 hrs lab Prerequisite: Instructor permission upon completion of audition.
