Catalog description

This course supports students participating in an internship aligned with their field of study in the Arts, Humanities, Communication, and Design Pathway. Through reflective activities, students engage deeply with their internship experiences and critically analyze how the theories, concepts, and skills learned in previous coursework are applied in real-world settings. Assignments and discussions encourage students to consider the challenges, opportunities, and diverse perspectives encountered in the workplace, fostering personal and professional growth while valuing the cultural wealth each individual brings to their experiences. Students are required to complete at least 150 hours at their internship site. Pre-requisites: A.A. Communication: ENG-111, and COM-110, and 12 college-level credits taken at BHCC A.A. English: ENG 200-Level or any 1 LIT, and ENG-112, and 12 college-level credits taken at BHCC A.A. English: Creative Writing: ENG-231 or ENG-232 or ENG-233, and ENG-203, and 12 college-level credits taken at BHCC A.A. Music: ENG-111, and MUS-180, and 12 college-level credits of MUS taken at BHCC A.S. Gaming/Computer Artist Track: CMT-223 A.S. Integrated Media Design: VMA-261, or VMA-262, or VMA-263 A.S. Studio Arts: VMA-100, or VMA-102 A.S. Visual Design: VMA-133 A.A. Global Languages and A.A. Theatre Arts: N/A
