Catalog description
Everyone tells stories, but what makes a story "good"? Why are there some we want to hear over and over, tirelessly, even though we know what will happen in the end? In this class, students will look at solid story structure, the elements that make up a "good" compelling story, and ways to tell the tales we have to tell in the best possible way to capture an audience. Students will participate as both writers and critical readers in examining creative work of their own, their peers and of established authors. This meets the General Education requirement for Creative Work.
