Integrated ELL Multi-Level

Catalog description

This 6-credit, multi-level ELL course develops integrated critical reading, writing, listening and speaking skills in English through immersion in a selected theme, challenging academic content and campus and/or community-based learning. Students participate in group work and connect the content to their own lives, using language in multiple ways. Students will demonstrate proficiency with incorporating sources to develop ideas with purpose, focus and clarity of language. Using placement, students who successfully complete the course earn the equivalent of ELL 101, ELL 102, or ELL 103. This course meets the General Education requirement for Creative Work.
