Jazz Ensemble: Combo

Catalog description

The Jazz Ensemble Combo performs and studies repertoire of the great jazz combos throughout the history of jazz including Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Horace Silver, Cannonball Adderley, and many others. Transcriptions and the creation of original compositions are integral components of this ensemble. Enrollment is by permission of the instructor. An audition may be required. (MUS 157 is for non-majors and non-minors. Music majors and music minors should register for MUS 357.)
