Catalog description
The proliferation of technology raises interesting questions regarding the impact these communication channels have on individuals and their relationships. This course examines the foundational theories and methodologies used to investigate human interaction via communication technology, also known as computer-mediated communication (CMC). After taking this course, you will be familiar with these technologies’ theoretical and methodological evolution and how they impact individuals on an intrapersonal, interpersonal, and global scale.
