Catalog description
As the second year Mandarin Chinese course for heritage language learners, this course is designed for students who have taken CHI 104 or CHI 114 or have equivalent knowledge of Mandarin Chinese. In addition to reviewing previously learned vocabulary and grammatical patterns, this course aims to work on the development of reading and writing competencies in Mandarin Chinese while continuing to improve aural understanding and speaking competency. By the end of the course, students will attain approximately the Intermediate-high level on the ACTFL proficiency scale. This course is NOT open to native speakers of Chinese.
