Catalog description

In the second semester of the second year of American Sign Language (ASL) instruction, ASL 204 aims to build upon the knowledge and skills learned in ASL 203 and provide a deeper understanding of the language, literature, culture, and community of people who use ASL. Students will engage in in-depth content-specific conversations and interactive activities to enhance their comprehension and construction skills using advanced ASL vocabulary, classifiers, phrases, grammatical structures, and non-manual markers for various purposes in various contexts. Additionally, students will focus on increasing fluency and accuracy in fingerspelling, numerical, and monetary skills in ASL
