Catalog description
Graduate and advanced undergraduate course on the theories and practice of performance and performativity in contemporary art. Integrates multiple disciplines and genres including body art, intervention, sound art, writing, dance, theatre. Explores the history and social contexts of embodiment, relational actions, participatory interactions, situated interventions and art/life encounters. Integral to curriculum are visiting artist lecture/workshops(s) and class trip to attend a related event. There may be a class fee assessed to your student account.
