Catalog description

The first half of the semester focuses on the acquisition of knowledge and skills related to structures of the visual book. We will study and practice: sewn and adhesive bindings? covers and cases? adhesives, paper and tools. This hands-on work provides a foundation for expanded conceptual and experimental individual projects. Students are encouraged to integrate interests in photography, text, drawing, printmaking, collage and/or digital methods.
