Creative Writing can be understood as a method of turning ideas, sounds, images, snippets, fragments, dreams, research -- and any and all of life's materials -- into fully realized literary works. The "work" of literary works is hidden when we read books and published authors, and thus our sense of how unique and wondrous work is achieved can be underdeveloped or perfectionistic. In other words, when we rely on only a reader's perspective to guide us as artists, it provides little to no sense of artistic path. This workshop is for writers of all levels to explore several works-in-progress in more depth. The result will be an enhanced relationship to the works (and to process) and to a lifelong and sustainable creativity. Becoming a more curious and helpful reader of others is another tangible and valuable outcome. Open to all.
