Catalog description
Today, American culture is an object of popular fascination—and, at times, repudiation—all over the world. Beginning in the early colonial period and extending through the twenty-first century, the course will cover the emergence of popular and mass cultures across the hemisphere, stretching from Canada to Chile, as well as the transnational connections that have informed their development.
