This U.S. history seminar introduces students to the Brown University Library’s Special Collections by examining its archival holdings on 20th century activism. We will focus on the archives of imprisoned activist Mumia Abu-Jamal, student protest at Brown, and the Hall-Hoag Collection of US right- and left-wing political groups.
