Intermediate Spanish II

Catalog description

A continuation of HISP 0300 . This course continues to strengthen students’ linguistic, communicative, and multicultural competencies through content- and language- integrated instruction. Students engage with a variety of social, cultural, and personal themes, using language in meaningful, real-world contexts. Emphasis is placed on active engagement, collaborative projects, and interactive activities that enhance both language proficiency and cultural awareness. An additional conversation section (one hour/week) is required. Prerequisites: HISP 0300 , Brown placement score: 461-540. Students should check Placement and Course Description in the Undergraduate Program section of the Hispanic Studies Website. Enrollment limited to 15; 12 spaces are available during pre-registration, 3 additional spaces available at the start of the semester.
