Catalog description
This course carries on the work initiated in HISP0100-0200 to develop and strengthen students' linguistic, communicative, academic, and multicultural competencies through content- and language- integrated instruction. This course is framed by an inclusive perspective on learning and embraces diverse identities and communities in the Hispanic World. It offers a variety of texts, themes, and topics related to students’ academic and life experiences, while also helping them develop professional skills. An additional conversation section (one hour/week) is required. Prerequisites: HISP 0200 . Brown placement score: 381-460. Students should check Placement and Course Description in the Undergraduate Program section of the Hispanic Studies Website. Enrollment limited to 15; 12 spaces are available during pre-registration, 3 additional spaces available at the start of the semester.
