Theory and practice of experimental techniques for fluid mechanics. Principles of measurement, noise and error analysis, transduction and recording of signals. Measurement of temperature and pressure. Fundamentals of optics and image processing for measurements, Particle Image Velocimetry and Particle Tracking Velocimetry. Microfluidic and wind tunnel experimental techniques. Will include lab projects.
