Networks and Network-on-Chip Design

Catalog description

Network-on-Chip communication fabrics are a very recent approach to multi-core system-on-chip design. This class will cover state-of-the-art research in the design and test of network-on-chip communication hardware and will compare these on-chip communication networks to more traditional networks. Additional aspects of system-of-chip design and test will also be explored. Prerequisites: ENGN 1630 and ENGN 1640 or equivalent experience in digital design.
