Biological Impacts of Nanomaterials

Catalog description

This course will emphasize advancements nanomaterials have made in several fields. In doing so, this course will cover fundamentals of nanomaterial synthesis and biological responses of nanomaterilas if ingested, inhaled, or implanted. Biological concepts (immune response, cellular toxicity, etc.) will be combined with engineering concepts (manufacturing and property control) to understand the relationship between manufacturing and biological impacts of nanomaterials.
