Optical Microscopy: Fundamentals and Applications

Catalog description

This course is intended to provide an introduction to optical microscopy for engineering and science students. Topics ranging from basic brightfield and fluorescence microscopy to Nobel-prize winning advanced optical microscopy methods will be discussed. The course will also provide students with the opportunity to acquire hands-on training in experimental optics techniques and basic microscopy.
