This industry-focused course introduces graduate and advanced undergraduate students to the engineering foundations and real-world applications of key biomedical technologies, including imaging, drug delivery, pharmacology, and biosensors, while integrating career exploration throughout. Designed for flexible participation by in-person, online, and co-op students, the course combines concise technical modules with live or recorded talks from industry professionals, offering insights into careers in R&D, regulation, startups, and manufacturing. Students will examine how biomedical tools are developed, evaluated, and implemented across healthcare and technology sectors. The course culminates in a student-led interview project, allowing students to connect with a biomedical professional and explore career pathways and workplace skills. Weekly discussions and guided feedback help reinforce connections between technical content and real-world impact.
