Catalog description

This course presents a broad introduction to environmental engineering and will help students to explore environmental engineering as an academic major and as career option. The course covers topics in environmental engineering: Chemistry fundamentals, mass balance, air pollution, water pollution, sustainable solid waste management and global atmospheric change. The course is essential for the environmental engineering students who are planning to take more advanced courses in environmental engineering. This course is also for students in other engineering disciplines and sciences who are interested in environmental constraints on technology development and practice, which have become increasingly important in many fields.
