A Poem a Day: Poetry and Attention

This course will take up the relationship between poetry and attention to ask how reading poems day to day can transform the ways we attend to the world. We will consider how poems give form to attention by arranging our sensory modalities and transforming our sense of time. A particular focus will be poets who engage in process based forms of composition and use writing to perform an experiment on their own perceptual capacities.
