Examines the conceptual, psychological and rhetorical connections between literature and law, and considers how both disciplines shape the imagination but also aim to elicit response and responsibility. Authors include Walter Benjamin, Joseph Conrad, Virginia Woolf, Rebecca West, Chinua Achebe; legal texts include Blackstone, Holmes, Bentham, Cover and a number of legal opinions. Enrollment limited to 20 juniors and seniors.
