Catalog description

In what ways can you "write" nonfiction with sound? And images? This course is for students interested in writing for podcasting, radio, TV, web content, or any career that involves communicating with audio, video, and/or still images. Students learn how to write for the ear and capture engaging tape—to use sound and image to create vivid scenes that are well paced and clear, and have satisfying narrative arcs. Both experienced and beginning audio and video storytellers are welcome. Application and instructor approval required at the beginning of the term. S/NC
