Catalog description

2D Game Engines covers core techniques used in the development of the software that drives computer games and other interactive software. Projects involve building different varieties of 2D game engines as well as games that require use of the features implemented in the engines. Topics include high-level engine design, vector and raster graphics, animation, collision detection, physics, content management, and game AI. This course has also been offered as DISP CSCI1971. Students interested in an override should request on through Courses@Brown. Priority will be given to both seniors and juniors.
