Graduate Core Module: Social Psychology

This is a graduate core module in the Department of Cognitive and Psychological Sciences, focusing on Social Psychology. The course will cover how individuals and groups perceive, interpret, and navigate social realities across various contexts, including bias, culture, identity, and cognition. Across seven weeks, students engage deeply with both classic and contemporary research, from foundational studies on implicit bias and social dominance to culturally grounded theories, such as the Triple Quandary framework, to connect theory with evolving societal challenges. Through readings, discussions, and student-led seminars, participants will critically examine how psychological processes both reflect and shape systems of inequality, belonging, and cross-cultural understanding.
