Graduate Core Module: Perspectives on Perception

Catalog description

This course engages graduate students in multiple perspectives on perception, the epistemic basis for other cognitive processes. We will consider philosophical issues, evolution and development, sensory ecology, computational vision and deep neural networks, human visual perception, and the visual control of action. Students will be introduced to different approaches and methods that scientists use to study these topics. The module partially fulfills core requirements for the CPSY graduate programs.
