Catalog description

How does vision provide the brain with information about the three-dimensional structure of the world? What types of information are essential for complex organisms like human primates to interact effectively with their environment? In this course, students will explore these fundamental questions by conducting original research using state-of-the-art visualization technologies. They will: (1) develop scientifically grounded hypotheses; (2) design and implement rigorous empirical tests; (3) construct experimental setups in a lab equipped with advanced virtual reality systems; and (4) collect and analyze behavioral data to produce a comprehensive scientific report.
