Laboratory on EEG Methodology

Catalog description

This hands-on lab course introduces the theoretical foundations and practical skills required to design, acquire, and analyze electroencephalography (EEG) data. Students will learn how neural signals are generated, how they are measured at the scalp, and how experimental design choices shape EEG data quality and interpretability. Through guided lab sessions, students will gain experience with electrode setup, data acquisition, artifact detection and correction, preprocessing pipelines, and basic analyses. Prior experience with coding (e.g., Python or MATLAB), basic statistics, or neuroscience is recommended.
