From poetry to philosophy, from music to economics to political theory, it is hard to find a subject of study that did not originate with the ancient Greeks, at least in word. Biology? Greek. Physics? Still Greek. Math? Technology? Gym? You guessed it. Since we cannot escape the ancient Greeks, in this class we will be on the lookout for them, reading some of the first classics of world literature and discussing the great ideas behind them. All texts read in English.
