Practical synthetic methods, strategies, and mechanisms essential for chemists. Discussions will include common pitfalls, how to overcome them, and real-life examples encountered in the lab when carrying out organic synthesis. Topics will also include the construction of pharmaceutical drug candidates or complex natural products, and include the chemistry of anions, cations, concerted reactions, conformational analysis, and stereochemistry
