Catalog description

Explores the electronic structure of atoms and molecules, thermodynamics, solution equilibrium, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, and reaction mechanisms. To successfully register for this course , please include all three components: lecture, lab, and conference. Students taking this course are expected to already have some familiarity with basic chemical concepts and to be taking (or have already taken) calculus. Students will be provided a link on the department web page to a self assessment test which may be of some help in determining if this course is right for them.
