Catalog description

This course will explore concepts in RNA science, with special emphasis on how various RNA processing events influence the life and function of RNAs in cells, in turn modulating gene expression beyond transcription. The course will include discussion of coding and non-coding RNAs, RNA modifications, RNA transport, and the role of RNA in phase separation. Course material will be based on primary research literature. Prerequisites are a background in advanced molecular and cellular biology and knowledge of basic biochemistry. In case of exceeding number of enrolment requests, priority will be given to graduate students.
