ARTS Independent study offerings create opportunities for students throughout the University to work with Brown Arts Institute faculty to develop courses designed to explore art-related topics of interest with a tailored and focused approach. Once the department and BAI faculty advisor approve, students may register for an independent study or research project. Any student wishing to pursue an independent study or research project must submit a proposal by the first day of the shopping period for the semester in which the proposed project will be conducted.
