Catalog description

This course provides an exploration of the magical world of complex numbers, with focus on applications. Topics covered include: Basics of Complex Numbers, Analytic Functions, Cauchy-Riemann equations, Cauchy's Integral formula, Residue Theorem, Evaluation of Integrals. Familiarity with reading and writing proofs will be assumed, but no analysis or linear algebra background is required. Prerequisites: Multivariable Calculus, Partial Differential Equations.
