Catalog description

This course traces the development of North American Indians and culture through a comparative study of prehistoric archaeological remains. Some of the questions addressed will be: When where and why did people first migrate into North America? Were these people responsible for the mass animal extinction at the end of the last Ice Age? What accounts for the similarities and differences in the politics and adaptations of Native Americans?
