Forming Latinx Literature

Catalog description

Forming Latinx Literature is an advanced seminar in reading contemporary Latinx fiction. The class is designed to introduce you to an array of Latinx writers and to hone your attention to both the form and craft of fiction. The class will introduce you to critical readings from the school of neo-formalism as well as essays about the craft of writing and interpreting fiction. Goals of the course include introducing you to a relevant critical vocabulary for discussing form, deepening your reading abilities, and improving your oral and written communication skills.
