Covers city parks and metropolitan park systems; the landscaping of riverfronts, streets, cemeteries, and company property; and the contributions of landscape architects such as Frederick Law Olmstead and Warren Manning to the field of urban planning. Begins in the 17th century with the creation of Boston Common and ends by reviewing the latest greenway plans for Providence. Enrollment limited to 20 juniors and seniors.
