Catalog description
This lab offers advanced, hands-on experience building upon previous coursework, focusing on optimizing welding arcs for productivity and efficiency, welding processes, discontinuities, equipment, and peripherals. Emphasis will be placed on Gas Metal Arc Welding-Spray (GMAW-Spray), Gas Metal Arc Welding-Pulse (GMAW-P), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). Through in-depth exploration of welding arc dynamics, techniques, and parameters, students will deepen their understanding and proficiency in welding.
