Storytelling and Readers Theatre

Catalog description

In this course students will become proficient in storytelling, interpreting and performing poetry, stories, scripture plays, historical documents, and other aspects of reading aloud. This course is strongly recommended for those studying Elementary or Secondary Education, English, or Broadcasting. Introduction to the craft, art and profession of storytelling, and oral interpretation of literature. This course consists of the theory and practice of Readers Theatre as it pertains to adapting literature, directing, and performing narrative theatre. It is an introduction to story theatre and narrative theatre.
