Catalog description
Internship credits are exempt from tuition charges. However, an administrative fee equal to one credit hour at the current rate of tuition will be charged for an internship course. The fee is in addition to any tuition charges for other classes. Fees are charged independently of tuition and are not subject to the 12-credit tuition cap. This course is a supervised field experience in a social service agency. Supervision by a social worker is needed. Students will gain experience and intervention to apply knowledge, values, and practice skills in actual social work settings. Must be concurrently enrolled in SW 397 to be eligible to be enrolled in this course. This capstone experience in baccalaureate social work education is the first internship and students will work 250 hours in their field placements.
